how does this inversion effect the recieve RX sensitivity of the router? im after around 21dbm of tx power which shoudl be enough by my calculations to get decent speed through the house. but if it sacrifices recieve sensitivity then it end up being a negative solution.
This is true, but without this inversion you cannot adjust TX power to more than 14dbm. In my case, 18dBm is the best value I've found. 22dbm is just the limit for the WRT160NL...

WRT160NL Under site survey it shows two and three of each network found. I also tried switching the antenna chain to 1-2-3 and 1-3. it does show more power but on the laptop in the same room it took the actual reported signal on the laptop down to 65mbps from 130mbps and bounces between the two speed constantly. Also noticed that none of the help screens list what some of the new functions do? Will there be an update to fix some of the issues for this? The current Build is 14311

It did fix the problem i was having with seeing two and three ap's on the site survey. On the laptop with it sitting in the same room still see lots of jumping from 65mbps to 130mbps.

WRT160NL When I set the Antenna chains to 1-2-3 and 1-3 the power is at 24dbm. I know with the WRT54G-tm's are all defaulted to 71mw how does the power output compare? With two Hawking 15dbi antenna's on the WRT160NL I have a 11 megabit connection on my laptop at roughly 1/3 of a mile but with the WRT54G-TM it is only 1-2megs a minute. so I am asuming that the 24dbm is stronger on the 160NL than the 54G-TM
