Installed test build, based on WR841NDv8 r21286 (Thanks LOM)
It is working fine in client mode(Connection speed is 130 MB/s). I am using and testing from two weeks. No any problem found in client mode or any other settings except "Client Bridge Mode".
In Client Bridge Mode the devise is dis-connecting and reconnecting with primary router every 40 Sec. Note:After installation of DD-Wrt the alone port of devise is configured as WAN. only way to connect the devise is Wifi then disabled WAN and assign WAN port as LAN.
Actually I want to use this router as Client Bridge! any advise.
I installed DD-WRT with the given image, but i'm not getting any response from it at all.
LAN port is dead, NO wifi shows up.
What did you do to get the WIFI up and running?

Same thing happened to me!!! After installing test build ddwrt on my WA850RE and it also died. Had to RMA it. Do not use this test build firmware as it will brick your repeater
3. Patch factory-to-ddwrt.bin using TP路由固件头修改工具.exe
value 0x40-0x43 = 08500001
value 0x44-0x47 = 00000001
4. Flash the patched firmware via the web interface (original firmware).
5. Wait until a wifi AP named "ddwrt" appears, then connect to it. We cannot connect via Ethernet yet because the Ethernet port is assigned to WAN by DD-WRT.
6. Flash tl-wr841nd-webflash.bin
7. Wait and reconnect to the wifi AP "ddwrt".
8. On the Setup page,
set WAN Setup // WAN Connection Type // Connection Type :: Disabled
set Network Setup // WAN Port // Assign WAN Port to Switch :: Checked
Done! Now we can access the router/extender via Ethernet.

I followed this procedure and it worked out on my tp- wa850re. But as I'm not so satisfied with the dd-wrt firmware I want to revert back to the original firmware from tp-link.. How can i do this?
I tried to install the orginal tp-link flashfile from the dd-wrt firmware (Administration > Firmware Upgrade) but this doesn't work.. It says that it was installed correctly but after booting I get the dd-wrt software again.
Can somebody please explain me how to revert back to the original tp-link software again?
update: for some devices there is a revert file available but I can't find one for the tp- wa850re. Is there somebody who can help me with this?

Thanks for the suggestion. The TL-WR841N is a different device. I'm afraid to brick my TP-WA850RE when I use this revert file.
That's what you have installed in your TL-WA850RE v1.24, a patched file from a tl-wr841ndv8 version.
you posted you follow the instructions from wpyh _________________ TP-Link: TL-WR741ND V4
