Hello All,

I have a interesting problem with a fon 2100 and redboot. I have a modem attached to the serial port and every time the fon looses power it will not boot. I have tested this with a usb to ttl serial adaptor and see the same thing.

it will not even give the +PHY ID is 0022:XXXX message.

These are the test I ran and the results.

1. Power up with serial not connected = ok

2. Power up with serial connected = ok

3. remove serial while running, shutdown, connect serial, apply power, = ok

4. power up with serial connected ok , then remove power dont remove the serial. Then apply power again fon will not boot. ( typical loss of comercial power issue)

This is a problem because any time it looses power the fon will not boot again.

Any idea's how to disable serial access in redboot, not really sure whats going on here.
