Hi all,

The amount of info on the E2000 is staggering and I am getting confused and paranoid.

I currently have Firmware:

DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/24/10) std-usb-nas

installed and was wondering what is the best updated firmware I can install?

Also how to do I avoid the brick?

Thank you

That's one the more modern builds thats good.

BUT!

Read up on your router.

Thanks for the suggestion and the help.

Now here comes the confusion.

From the link which I have read alot.

After you have dd-wrt installed to your unit, you can then use the e2k-e3k.bin's for upgrading to newer builds. Using builds without e2k-e3k in the filename after initial flashing WILL BRICK YOUR ROUTER!

And the link provided:

Has nv60 in the name.

So going back to the wiki on the e2k wouldn't that lead to a brick?

e2k-e3k was changed to nv60 later on. Don't worry, nv60 is e2k-e3k
