I have had no luck trying to use Redboot on the Engenius EOC1650, I have connected numerous times only to see the "1.980 seconds..." banner but I never can get it to respond to control-c (nor control-a through z left right bracket, underscore), dollar sign (redboot feature to trigger gdb).
So maybe opening up the case and getting to the serial port is the next step. However, there are no visible screws (except the antenna connector) and the case is either ultrasonically welded or somehow cleverly snapped together.
Has anyone opened the case physically?
I'd like to know if after opening whether the case can be reassembled and remain weather resistant as well.
If anyone knows the secret "incantation" that will get a redboot response via telnet 192.168.1.1 9000 I'd be very grateful.
It is pretty easy to connect and see the redboot banner but redboot simply does not respond to anything after I connect, all it does is echo whatever I type for a few minutes then it disconnects my session.
