Hello everybody,
I searched yet but I didn't found an other one problem exactly like mine.

I bought a TL-WR1043ND just for use with DD-WRT (for OpenVPN) so today I flashed latest release 01-01-2013-r20453 but wireless connection doesn't work over 65MBPS.

Is it a bug ?

This is my conf

and this is the results

I hope to find a solution, i really like this Firmware..[/url]

Try to use other WiFi adapter. The some notebooks, like Dell for example, can't support more than 65Mb. It not DD-WRT bug, it is the notebooks "feature".

I think it not router issue. I have connections 300 Mbps without problem with many others wifi adapters, but 65Mbps only with number of Dell notebooks.

with the newest ddwrt build i am not able to get 300mbps.

u can try to turn short preamble on

if i use the older build 20119 from 2012 the last one. with same settings i can get 300mbps.

***note if you use the older 2012 builds you need to put the german firmware on first to remove security on wan port.***
1) revert to stock with the revert firmware
2) install german firmware
3) install the build you want.

the new build i can only get 130mbps with a 300mbps Tplink wifi usb adapter.

If your ASUS laptop has the same hardware like ... tested by me Dells, you will get the same result. In general all manufacturer use same parts and chipsets within one class of devices. Ask your friends for chip USB adapter 802.11n and try it. You will see the difference, if I'm right.

I tried the last one of 2012 and in this missing the 40MHZ option! So i turn back on latest 2013..

So.. with MBPro finally i get a better result: 130MBPS, but a notebook like this shouldn't have better speed ?

Tried with Galaxy S3, same 65MB..

All this is a bit strange..

What do you mean ?

All value of antenna in wifi section of dd-wrt are defaults. Router mount its antennas correctly and the low speed are close to router too.. Sad

I guess all of your things has 802.11n "light" with only one antenna. This type can not to use MIMO and has 150Mb theoretical maximum.
For Galaxy it is normal speed 65Mb, Macbook pro may have different wifi card (see wiki for it). People say it normal speed. Link for example: http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/archive/index.php?t-7798.html

I have the same router and can get maximum speed 300 Mbps only with many adapters, but not with laptops I have used.
I get it in old and newer versions of DD-WRT. Original firmware by TP-Link give the same results.

Your answer is very exhaustive, thank you! My last doubt is about Signal Quality, is very low with devices closes the router.. best value was 80%.. is it normal too ?

Apple does not allow 40MHz wide channels on 2.4GHz
