I have a really small line 3/0.3 and i am trying to have the Sip Gigaset phone and some Chromecast Audio devices working well.

I am thinking just to give the maximum priority by "Netmask priority" in the Sip phone and the Chromecast Audio or to put a general filter "enable bandwidth per ip" at 2200/0.15 but maybe i can do it better by filters because the line it is so small so i will get all the available bandwidth every second.
I want to try it can you help a little?

The first 3 filters is for dns,sip rtp ports 5004-5020, sip, with maximum priority.
is this a good start?

After in filter rules there is other qos filters?

http-dap

http-freshdownload

http-itunes

httpaudio

httpcachehit

httpcachemiss

httpvideo

(In the same list in the latest dd-wrt version 43099 i found the "mp3" and the "shoutcast" filters.)

(I think in some older versions there was "icecast, Viber, WhatsApp filters" but now they are missing)

If i want to give the best priority to the "Sip phone" and the "Chromecast Audio" plus to give a boost for everyone that's opening a web page over all the other how will i use those rules for that? How will i do it?
I do not care so much for the video streaming because the main providers are using variable bitrate and resolution.
They will lose in resolution but at least they will not have so many gaps.

You'll need to test this and see if it yields any results.
Reading elsewhere it seems that the lower you go on the Q.o.S settings page, the less things work...

You didn't say what router you have, but I would use HTB and PIE. Set to WAN port, downlink should be 2800, uplink would be 270. Check only the ACK box, then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and then under "Default Bandwidth Level" enable per user default limits and set them the same for wan up and down as you did for the top section and for Lan set them to 100000 (=100mbps or 999999 for 1gbps if the router has 1gbps ports).

give that a try, but realize that code might not be working for the router. I also think you'll need to reboot the router for the individual user section to become active.

Thank you for replying.
I have many dd-wrt routers but here i am now i have only one tp-link 842nd v2 and one 841n v10.

I know it is not the best for qos but i do not want so much from them.

When i am doing speedtest i have 3Mbit and 0.23 or 0.24 up all the times.

i tried a lot of qos combination.

The last one was just to give netmask priority Maximum to the first ips 192.168.1.3/29 outside of the DHCP server range because there i have with static leases the Sip phones and the Chromecast Audio devices.
Then Bulk or standard to the 192.168.1.128/26 to the range that Dhcp server offer the ips to normal clients.

Except that i tried with Manual limits.

Maybe it have to do with the dd-wrt versions 34311, 37961 and many other last versions i tried but i have a lot of buffering in Chromecast Audio devices.

When i had only the qos services enabled for sip i could do Voip calls without many annoying sound interruptions even after speedtest with g722 codec.

In the 841n i tried with HTB and fq_codel and Sfq.
i did not stopped there and i tried and the other combinations with the
Hfsc.

in the 842nd there is no Queueing Discipline in all versios.

i want to ask here what's the best
Packet scheduler and Queueing Discipline combination for settings based to Service priority and what's the best for Netmask priority?

it is tough to have good Qos because of the upload.
With the latest codec someone can have video calls even with so little upload but if i cut it more so i will reserve 72kbps for the Voip calls it will have so bud quality.

Even with 729 codec i will have to cut and that small it will have bud affects to such a little upload.

That the reason i am trying to do it more dynamic.

msoengineer i forgot to ask why you proposed me to try put the same numbers in the Qos settings and Per User Default Limits for upload and download?
i have never think that.
Do you think it will work like this as the only rule in qos or in combination with the Services priority i mentioned before?

Basically the problem for me and many other people is how to couch from the Service priority the internet radios only and the chromecast Audio.
Even couching the internet streams i do not know if this is enough for Chromecast Audio to work in priority.
