i opened up my tplink wifi modem TD-W8951ND v3 and found that its have a Ralink Chip.
So i think that dd-wrt firmware should me build for it as the factory firmware have nothing to do with it and hides the power of this wifi modem.
what's you say who own tplink TD-W8951ND v3.

Hi, after ten years I reactivate this topic trying to understand if I can update an old,but still working, TP-LINK TD-W8951ND V3 updated with the original firmware TD-W8951ND_V3_110721.

Following the directions of the guide "https://dd-wrt.com/router-dection/" I searched for information about the hardware of this device.

It seems to be a trendchip TC3162U CPU, 2MB of EON F16-100HIP memory and, as far as the radio is concerned, Ralink RT3390

Given the FCC ID code: TE7TDW8951NDV3 found on the device label, the page where I found information is:
http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/tp-link_td-w8951nd_v3

Is there a version of DD-WRT compatible with this modem / router?

Thank you for any answer

Will add this device to wiki. Trendchip and modem/router combo; double-whammy.
