Hadn't had time to look yet, was going to last night, but had to do some other things. Will test ASAP though, as i am interested to find out what the problem seems to be.

Ok, did the script on NEWD 15943, as i noted in the previous post - everything ran as it should on the install script, no errors, but after rebooting - mypage wasn't loading in the status...

So i decided to upgrade my build to 19342 NEWD usb generic, turned on USB in services and waalaa, loaded right up without having to re-run the install script. So honestly, i'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but i am more convinced that it would appear to be build related.

18024 = no good for this
15943 = no good for this

14929 and 19342 both work fine with it right from the reboot.

And did i mention, big thanks for your work on this, its most excellent! Cool

Seems though now, i have stumbled upon another problem, i tried to reboot from the webgui, noticed the LED on my unit never flickered, so i open a browser and sure enough, it never rebooted.

I then rebooted it by unplug the power and re-plug, then SSH'd into the shell and disabled a few services then issued a 'reboot' and this is what i am seeing with it. Essentially though, i can't reboot unless i unplug the power to the unit. It'll just sit there not performing the reboot that it should.

Please check if /opt/etc/init.d/S08reboot exists.
I think shutdown scripts are ran 2 times.

could post output of:
date -r /bin/busybox +%Y
date -r /bin/busybox +%m

Please run the prep script again to be sure all is set correctly.

Noticed that virtual hosting doesn't work any longer from the wan side and after looking into the issue it seems that there is a problem with 'pound'.
Getting the following error message when pound starts:

/usr/sbin/wl:-i eth2 interference 3 ->wl driver adapter not found

Have no idea what this means but the virtual host cannot be reached

Do you use vlighttpd?
I run pound and vlighttpd without problems.
http requests on otrw.basmaf are forwarded to vlighttpd

This is what is going on so far..

Why i formatted the drive last night and start over today is because last night, after posting the last pic, i could never get back in via SSH, and its doing it again now, and since i can't get into the shell, i really don't know (and won't be able to trace) what the problem is. I can get in via the webgui, but that doesn't do me much good to try to debug anything. When i do try to login via SSH (or telnet, doesn't matter) it just sits there, and does nothing, after issue the password.

Ok, after i let it sit for an hr, it finally let me SSH into the shell, here is the output for what you requested, doesn't look like the reboot script exist. However, this time, after issue the commands, i issued a 'reboot' and it rebooted clean this time, and reboots clean from webgui as well. Everything seems running normal again since i re-ran the script - except for the massive delay in being able to SSH into the router.

I am having a feeling that the delay in being able to login via SSH has to do with the architecture i am dealing with, this wl520gu can't handle running this, because if i use my E3000, RT-N16 or WNR3500L, i have no problems with this and it seems everything executes much faster (of course, better hardware), with the 520gu, it takes much time for you to be able to do anything on it.

But unfortunate thing is its the only older unit i have that can run NEWD builds with a USB to test this on. i have a 500gpv2 as well, but its specs are pretty much the same as the 520gu minus it has bigger flash and more ram, otherwise same.

And now i am banging my head on the keyboard, after the reboot, its not mounting the disk properly again!

It is once again choosing to mount part3 instead of part1 like it should, thus optware isn't working anymore. And this is with 19342 newd usb generic.

Confused
Can you sent me the syslog from current state.
Need to dig into the logs to check where it goes wrong.

I don't understand why all is working fine on 14929
and not on 19432.
I'd wish I had such unit to test.

For troubleshooting can you do a manual mount and disable automount
Are you using automount via GUI?

@ BW how is your TM doing?
Any issues? and on which build are you?

Some other question

I see in the ps output run_rc_startup is still running.
Do you have any additional features in your startup script?

Yes vlighttpd & pound. Have worked flawlessly for quite some time. Can't tell exactly when the issue started might be after a package upgrade.

Can anyone tell what the error message means?

All packages are the latest available.

give command "wl -i eth2" it will show you the options

interference
Get/Set interference mitigation mode. Choices are:
0 = none
1 = non wlan
2 = wlan manual
3 = wlan automatic
