Router - Bufallo WHR-G300N

2 wired PCs cannot ping each other, though the router has dhcp leases for each. One is a Linux machine, the other is dual boot Linux/Windows 7.
A Linux Wireless laptop can ping both and be pinged from both.

I have another Bufallo (same model) with its default firmware. When I replace the DD-WRT version, all machines can ping each other.

Any ideas?

Thx in advance

As already discussed it's a bug in 18777 firmware.

Considering the OP never lists the details of which build is being used, how would that ever be known for certain?

OK, obviously my search was not couched in the correct terms.

Can you tell me the defect number, then I can track its resolution?

When I get a moment I'll put the DD-WRT unit back in and check the version number

I have exactly the same problem with my buffalo_whr_g300nv2.

Wired connection can't ping any client else "destination host unreachable",
but wireless can ping all the clients.

It started from 03-19-12-r18777, and remains after upgrading to 06-08-12-r19342.

After so many people have confirmed the same problem. I hope that devs will finally pay attention to that issue which exists for over half a year now. (Last version which working lan was 18026 for me)

same here on g300nv2

using version 24461

That will be great if it can be fixed.

I am quite curious about the defect number, but it is deleted? I have been trying to tackle this problem for a while.

And I also find that it is reproducible on TL-WR741ND v1 using version 24461.

I think it is highly possible that other Atheros board also have this problem.

Can anyone know something about it leave a messages?

I have almost the same hardware: TL-WR741ND but v4, I just installed fw version 24461 and used a fix from page
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=152738&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30
to get wired computers on LAN to communicate.

Resume is:
Open router web interface, switch to panel "Administration" and "Commands" page (something like http://192.168.0.1/Diagnostics.asp).
Enter commands:
Code:
swconfig dev eth1 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev eth1 set apply

Press button "Run commands" and if everything is fine press button "Save Startup" to make it permanent.

All the best
