Repeater Mode not working after cycling power

When I first enable repeater mode everything works great. But when the power is cycled on the router, wireless connections can't be made. The station shows up on the PC side but when I try to connect to it, it doesn't work (it quits without giving and error message). If I change it to AP mode and back to Repeater mode it starts working again until the power is cycled. Is anyone else having similar problems?

I've tried RC4, RC5 and RC6.2 on a WRT54GSv7.

Any suggestions would be apreciated.
