I've being using
DD-WRT v24 RC-7 (02/11/08) vpn - build 9022 on my Buffalo WHR-g54S

and

DD-WRT v24 RC-7 (02/11/08) micro - build 9022 on my Belkin F5D7230-4 v1444

for almost a week with WPA and WDS.

Decided today to switch to WPA2 encryption.
WDS and clients are working.

Connection is very fast and no problems so far.

Next phase will be to add unbridged virtual adapter for guests.

I just flashed my travel router WTR54GS with same Micro version and added it to the group.

Now I have 3 routers connected together with WDS covering all my house from one corner to the other.
