in my post above snr went up - no decrease in rssi

this is on a real link over a couple miles, not on a table next to the AP or in the same house.

I believe my eyes, what others believe it up to them.
So, has anyone confirmed by experiments that changing the boardflags to 0x3758 actually improves real world radio performance rather than just looking better on the displayed measurements?

I did an experiment on this and changing from 0x2758 to 0x3758 did not seem to make a difference. I did not see more of my neighborhood networks, like I can see from my laptop with a transceiver (which is essentially an amp hooked up to a wifi card).

hi, i followed the discussion a little bit but since im new to these buffalos im still confused...

1) what boardflags should i now set? (does that depend which antenna is used?)
2) what is that amplifier? isnt the antenna the gain for better signal? what for is that amp?
3) do i have to somehow mod the router like the wrt54g? (diversity chip)
4) maybe these boardflags affect just specific models?

dont remember which user posted these pics of both whr routers...?

...but i thought ill put mine up too:

what about a photo-collection of routers with some boardflag comparison?
on my whr-g54s i tested already:

edit:
whrhpg54 runs with 5V 0.9A
whrg54s runs with 3.3V 2A

regards
