- Repeater mode broken for K26 builds.
- SSH - not storing the RSA key in the appropriate nvram value.
- multiple USB drive partitions are being mounted to /opt
-

This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build. (eg: 18000_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin).Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

E3000 + 18024 NV60K mega build

As is ssh - still not storing the RSA key in the appropriate nvram value.

Other than that (+ other known issues) -- seems to run fine. Web interface is quite responsive.

TP-Link TL-WR1043ND

Hm in earlier builds wlan status led was active when wlan was active...now it only blinks/is active when data is transfered you cant see without client if wlan is active or not.

With build 17xxx it was possible to de/activate the wlan with qss button at the router...now you cant do this. Hope this will fixed Smile
-> SES / AOSS / EZ-SETUP / WPS is activated and inital deactivated, both settings dont work

edit
One other "cosmetic" thing
Web Interface -> Services -> USB
I have mounted one harddisk at usb port it shows as not mounted but i can access it (local and remote) without a problem.
Code:

--- /dev/sda
Block device, size 931.5 GiB (1000204886016 bytes)
DOS/MBR partition map
Partition 1: 931.5 GiB (1000202241024 bytes, 1953520002 sectors from 63)
 Type 0x07 (HPFS/NTFS)
 NTFS file system
Volume size 931.5 GiB (1000202240512 bytes, 1953520001 sectors)
Status: Not mounted

on Common Internet File System, it doesn't like unicode passwords. they don't work for some reason. in my case, it's in Greek.

Does repeater mode include WDS? On a couple of the pages I scroll through it mentions WDS in the same breath as repeaters in comparisons, etc.

WDS communicates by a different mechanism...Repeater mode is its own DHCP server on a different subnet....WDS mode (although I don't test it) has not been reported as a problem.

WRT160N v3.0 - 18000,18007, and 18024 K2.6 mini all have ssh problem.

Anybody experience this with K2.4?

I have tried both the new EKO and BS builds on my E4200 but I can not get Multiple WLANs to pass internet to the Virtual Interfaces which are on br1. I can connect to the Virtual Interface just fine but I do not get internet access after adding them to the new bridge. This is working great in 17201 but I have not been able to get it to work on any newer builds. Is there an iptables string I need to use to pass internet to br1? The basic setup I use is outlined in http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Multiple_WLANs

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Been tweaking some firewall rules as well as purging out 2010 traff data.

many reboots and a few power cycles.. winscp did not have to update it keys to access the router after any of the above mentioned reboots or power cycles.

that said, the reported ssh key problem is not apparent in a K24 build

EDIT: I have the K26_std_usb_nas build loaded on an RT-N16.. The ssh problem is there. After every reboot or power cycle, the ssh keys change. Winscp must update it keys to access the router.

Even WORSE than that, as I reported in the 18000+ build threads... multiple USB drive partitions are being mounted to /opt

part1 is ext2, named opt
part2 is swap
part3 is ext2 named jffs (don't use it.. just there for possible future use)
part4 is ext2 named data

both part 1 and part 3 are mounted to /opt. part 3 has priority.. meaning that when I access the /opt folder, it is empty. all the data is on part 1 and it is not accessable.

Try something like this:

Code:
iptables -I FORWARD -s 192.168.2.0/24 -j ACCEPT
iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -j SNAT -s 192.168.2.0/24 --to-source `nvram get wan_ipaddr`
iptables -I FORWARD -i br1 -o br0 -m state --state NEW -j DROP

I'm still on build 18007 but this should still work - maybe someone will explain why from earlier 17k builds this stopped working by default. I'm sure there's a good explanation.

E4200

- ssh keys are not stored.
- in AP mode, I can't select the channel id. it always jumps to auto and selects a channel which is already used in my neighborhood.

Is it normal, that the E4200 goes from N mode to G mode, when a G device is connected?

I guess it doesn't go to G mode but you are looking at the receive rate and it shows 54Mbps there right? If you look at your other N devices they still show "N" speeds right?

Well if anything, for my usage on a E4200 MEGA this build work just as the others. For me though the main thing that's "broken" is the seemingly 1/2 rate download speeds (AP to Client) when compared to upload (Client to AP). I wont bring the details here but that's the only issue I face with this build.
