I've been looking around on the internet for a good couple of hours now for ways to flash this router but I've been unsuccessful in finding a .chk file that supports v2 which has 128MiB NAND instead of 64MiB serial flash.

(note that I'm talking about 3500L v2 and not 3500 v2)

There seems to be a few other differences between v1 and v2 like another cpu which is BCM5357.

Here's some information about the router when i telnet into it:

Code:

So all in all my question is where i go from here if i want dd-wrt to run on my new router? Does dd-wrt support NAND so i can do as described here? (studying computer science so I'm not afraid of compiling stuff)

Thanks in advance and please bear with any spelling mistakes as English isn't my primary language Smile

There is no dd-wrt support for this router yet, may come some time in the future.

Same problem here, last order: 4 wnr3500lv1 and 1 wnr3500lv2. Sad

Same package, only written on the router... it seems all new coming stocks will be v2... Twisted Evil

Very sad because this model was great for multi ssid + multi vlan + gigabit + wifiN...

Does anyone have news about ddwrt on V2? Question

Thanks

It seems there is a ddwrt build for wnr3500l v2:
http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/34850/DD-WRT-for-WNR3500Lv2-Initial-Release/

I have found no information about this on the forum. No more information on the wiki or the router database...

Strange isn't it?!

That will be because it's not an official DD-WRT build.

Use at your own risk.

Main router:

Netgear R7000 overclocked to 1.2GHz - DD-WRT v3.0-r35965M kongac

IPv6 6in4 (HE.net), OpenVPN (with PBR and split tunnelling), Entware, dnsmasq with ipset

Easy ipset support for the R7000

VPN speed: Download: 77.96 Mbps Upload: 5.00 Mbps (AES-128-CBC HMAC-SHA1)

Yes you can get 50 Mbps+ with OpenVPN on a R7000 if you configure it properly!

Previous routers:

ASUS RT-N66U - The Dark Knight
WNR2000v3 - Bought on the cheap for someone else, neutered crap

Not official ?! It is clearly writtent that it is from ddwrt...

If it's not from ddwrt, ddwrt leaders have to complain about abusive use of their brand...

Yes. It IS DD-WRT, but it has not been compiled by either Eko or Brainslayer. I believe its been compiled by a user.

That's what I meant by "Not official". Feel free to try it out.
