tp-link support:
SOC AR7242
chipset AR9380
Gigabitswitchmodul RTL8367R

im writing an extended review. i already asked tp-link for clock speed and ram. 40mhz powersave polling is buggy and samba server and ntp is badly configured.

otherwise its great. im still doing a lot of tests. may some guru can rate the used soc and chipset.

So which DD-WRT version/release did you use on your WR2543ND? Is it running stable?

Hallo,

Hello,

sorry! for all non german speakers i asked for the extensive review above.

I have another question about this device:

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=147147&highlight=tlwr2543nd

here they say it is only capeable to use one band at a time -> 2,4 or 5 ghz.

Could someone owning this device say if this is ture or not?

Thanks in advance

According to the TP-Link rep I talked to, yes, it cannot operate on both bands simultaneously.

Cheers.

I have been offered one of these for very cheap, like half price. Wondering if it will be worth it in the end. My rebranded WR1043ND is actually doing everything I need... When do we foresee support coming out for this device, or what can I do to help development?

Bulgarian customs release this to local distributor at a price of $90 on 16th of January. Containers from china with first quantities just arrived. At the time I read first reviews I was very excited and keen on it but I may wait for 2843ND until May so that I get simultaneous dual band device. In my location 2.4ghz is overcrowded and works for almost nothing except browsing since there are about 50 networks around. And my notebook adapter is a/b/g/n after all so I will depend more on 5ghz than on 2.4ghz.
