So I went and upgraded the firmware and it bricked, everything went fine, restart and can't connect. Can't even ping it most of the time. I get a small window where it responds to pings on restart this is after trying the unbrick instructions.
I have tried all manner of resets, I am trying to TFTP in firmware but I get connection time out. The only thing I have not tried is put a switch in between to keep my lan port up which I will do when I get home. Are there any other ways to unbrick this? Any tips on how to get the firmware to take? Should I try the factory image, original image, or the new one I want?
Did you put the router into recovery mode? Turn off the router with the power button, insert paper clip into reset hole, hold while turning on the router, hold for at least 45 seconds (I waited until the power light started blinking GREEN). This sucessfully unbricked my router, and I could then use tftp to flash the firmware onto it (I flashed dd-wrt build 16785)

Thought I did the recovery mode but didn't quite make it this morning. Got home, held til it flashed green and was good. I stopped one time when the power was flashing amber and it didn't work that time.

Well it seems i was not completely awake when i did what i did, but it seems my WNDR3700 is now bricked.
After powering up, there are no lights at all, and even trying to reset the router will have no effect on any light.
The only thing i remember is that i was about to erase/flash via a "mtd erase linux" first, but it seems that i issued an "mtd erase 1" instead.
I have ordered a small adapter /max232/DB9 to serial unbrick, but anyone knows what was the exact effect of my command, did i destroyed any boot piece of software ? Well when i googled a bit, it seems that partition "1" represent the recovery part , will i still be able to unbrick through serial after this ?
Well i tried tftp, but the box is not even responding to any ping on defaut adress / subnet, hence i was unsuccessfull after many tries. _________________ [BROADCOM] NETGEAR R6300v2 (1): DD-WRT v3.0-r37900M kongac (Dec. 3, 2018)
