Hi guys,
I just upgraded all my WDS Nodes from r14144 (03/24/10) std (very stable) to the latest (06/14/11) std (17201).
All nodes are based on Routerstation + 3 miniPCI Wistron DCMA-81.

The problem:
Whenever I reboot or change settings on the node that are acting as WDS AP, the client fails to reconnect until I reboot it too.
I can see the client trying to reconnect on the Status-> Wireless page of the AP, but the uptime doesn't go up to few seconds, it resets to zero continuously.

This condition does not happen always, but too much often and, since each node is both WDS AP and WDS Client, when I reboot a node the next node may fails to reconnect too, so, at worst, I need to reboot all nodes.

If it can help, I use these settings:
WDS AP <-> WDS Client
5.745 - 5.850 band
A-Only 20Mhz
Fast Framing
Short Preamble
OFDM Weak Detection
Noise Immunity Auto
WPA2 Personal AES (3600 sec key renewal)

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Tnx for the answer Sash,
I already use the wds-watchdog but it may cause a "domino effect" on the next nodes..

Do you think it is related to the encryption? In the past, when I mistyped the PSK I saw the same behaviour..

Anyway, I will try the fw you attached, tnx.

Hey Sash,

Tnx
