Just noticed that a new build has been put up in the Barinslayer FTP site. I am watching and waiting to see how the Buffalo releases perform.

I wanna test the new version. The worst decision possible. It brick my router. So now my tplink 1043nr is unusable.
Ps: I see Im not the only one. Is better not to install.

I flashed my DIR-8235 rev. B with this firmware about three hours ago, and so far no issues. In fact some minor issues I had prior seem to have been fixed.

I upgraded from 17201 on my Buffalo wzr-hp-300gh and set my settings to default. I have not tested it extensively yet but everything appears to be working fine at this moment. This was on a test route. I'm going to upgrade my production routers tonight to see how that works.

Testing on WZR-HP-G300NH. First noticeable difference is that the Wireless LED behaves different, it stays off if there are no wireless clients, it comes on and blinks when there are clients with traffic moving.
TX power has risen from 15dbm to 17dbm. Noise floor seems to be reporting correctly instead of staying locked to -90dbm. Maybe this is Ath9K.

There is how to unbrick 1043ND: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=68793&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30
Or it is possible via TFTP, but I am not experienced in that. Hope this helps. Thankyou guys for testing, I have 1043ND too and you have saved my time.

anyone with confirmation of which wifi driver is being used in this version? if you telnet in and check the driver folder it may list the driver name.

So, we'll have to wait for a fixed version...I'm quite sorry about that.

I'm excited!
Going to try it out right away.

By the way, 17dbm was already normal if you set the regulatory domain to US.

I have my regulatory domain set to Ireland, was always capped at 15dbm until now. Running solid as always, running Samba too.

Anyone else with a WNDR3700v2 here?

I can install the new firmware (17461) just fine but the wlan is dead. The LED's wont light up and there is no option in the interface to turn it on.

The router just behaves like a normal router without any wireless features.

Help?
