Hello

I'm a real newbie and I have two questions. I hope that somebody can help me.

Is it possible with the dd-wrt custom firmware to adjust the transmission power, for example to 5mw, for netgear routers?

Now the second question. The Netgear WNR2000 is well supported bei the dd-wrt, but I prefer buying the Netgear WNR1000 or Netgear WNR2200. For the WNR1000 I read that the dd-wrt is on work. Does this mean that it takes not long until it works?

For the WNR2200 I did not found anything, but I think WNR2200 and WNR2000 should be very smiliar. So would the dd-wrt also work on the WNR2200?

You think too much, you'd better check instead.
dd-wrt is not built by guessing the hardware.

Is there still no info about the WNR2200 ?

I have no experience at using dd-wrt firmware, so if anyone successfully flashed a firmware for WNR2200, please tell.

You could ask Eko for them..
He has the router, he has the wholeflash dumped.

Here they are anyway:

AR7241
64 MB RAM
8 MB SPI Flash

AR9287 2T2R PCIe

4 FE LAN, 1 FE WAN through AR7241 internal switch.

1xUSB 2.0

eko just wrote me some hours ago. attached the first working images. since i dont have the hardware its likelly that not all led's etc are now working

reset button seems to work so far and the rest should work as well. but give it a try by yourself.

first upgrade from netgear webgui with the wnr2200-factory image. after dd-wrt bootet up, use the webflash file to upgrade again from dd-wrt webinterface. the netgear firmware has a firmware size limitation which prevents the use of all flash memory which would reduce the feature set.

good to hear that you two are in contact about this router, I'm sure he is capable of helping you finding out the unknown gpio assignments.

Well done guys. I've flashed this on mine and it's working beautifully. Only thing is, USB support doesen't appear to be working, unless i'm being a retard.

All enabled but the web interface won't detect the pen drive I have, where as this was working on stock...

Would it be a lot of work in order to get the USB working?

dmesg usb shows the USB mass storage driver loading (not the pen drive itself) but i'm presuming it's capturing this from when you enable the USB functions on the web interface?
