Ok ... brand new to this ..

I had this router for several years; sitting on a shelf because it required rebooting every week or so became a real pain, so I replaced it with a TP-Link.

I found this site, and decided to try and FLASH dd-wrt ...

Started out fine, until I got to the TFTP2.exe part of the upgrade. typed in the DOS command line: dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic.bin, then a dialog box popped up asking for server, password and browse to file. I entered 192.168.1.1, and "admin" for the password... browsed to d-wrt.v24_micro_generic.bin (why did it ask me for all that if I entered on the command line?)

then hit submit ... it tried 3 times and failed ... I tried that several times (3x) nothing same result. I may have unpluged the router during the last attempt to connect not sure. From then on I no longer get any LEDs lite on the front of the router.

If I power up, it lites all 4 port LEDs and internet LED, then they go out. That's it. I tried the 30-30-30 hard reset nothing.

I read the thread on Bricked routers and how to tell, but the all LEDs out don't match the condition described??

Anyway I'm off to but parts to build a JTag cable and give it a shot... Is there anything I need to try first, did I miss something?

Did you try to ping the router then unplug it and plug it back in?
