I know from past experience that you can select which antenna is TX and RX. Try going to this link:

http://YOUR_DEVICES_IP/Wireless_Advanced-wl0.asp

Locate:

TX Antenna
RX Antenna

You should be able to select which you would like to use.

First, a small correction to jperham's post:

Change

http://YOUR_DEVICES_IP/Wireless_Advanced-wl0.asp

to

http://YOUR_DEVICES_IP/Wireless_Basic.asp

Then click on the "Advanced Settings" checkbox. After the window reloads with the advanced settings, scroll down to

TX Antenna Chains
RX Antenna Chains

(This applies to dd-wrt build 16785 on a WRT160NL)

Take note of the odd settings: the only combinations allowed are 1, 1+2, 1+3 and 1+2+3.

That means that you CANNOT select, say TX Ant=1 and RX Ant=3. My settings (which work fine for me, AFAIK) are 1+3 for both TX and RX Antenna Chains.

Just make sure you don't use antenna 2 as it is not connected in the WRT160NL!

Cheers

ok, but i don't understand this setting. What is it supposed to do ?
Means for example

TX Antenna Chains=1 = left antenna for TX
RX Antenna Chains=1+3 = left+right antenna for RX ?

and you said that i can not select TX=1 and RX=3. but is there a way to use one antenna just for sending and one antenna just for receiving ?

I tried

wl0_antdiv=1
wl0_txant=0
nvram commit

but somehow this commands had no effect at all.
