this is what im talking about (i just retried it, doing the ssh hack and all (except couldnt get telnet to work, so used serial again instead) ended up on first boot, something bout fconfig and i looked it up and changed it and now this again

ok i dunno if i just bricked my fon or not, i still get ativity and connection via serial, but i went and tried changin the baud rate on the fconfig, and now no matter what i get goofy characters.

then just use telnet!!! you don't need serial to configure/flash foneras.

Your problem is the baudrate of the serial connection... dd-wrt kernel uses 115200 and redboot 9600, so adjust your terminal prog accordingly !
If you had read the forum numerous posts address this problem !

i tried using telnet, but im hooking up through my ethernet cable (wether it be a norm. one or a crossover) and im not sure what to set the ips up to. i tried the ones that i set in the fconfig, and nothing.
