I am also interested to know if the NetGear WNR3500 router would be supported/supportable too. It seems to be the successor to the WNR-854T which seems to have received lousy reviews for failing after about a year of service.
Unfortunately, non of the online vendors give the type of hardware detail required on their product descriptions to know if this can work with dd-wrt. It does use Open Source software, so that tells me there is hope it -can- be supported even if it isn't currently.
I'm starting to look at the Linksys WRT350N more and more.
However, as the unit is sitting on my desk in plain sight, the WNR3500 would be nice, as the Linksys looks absolutely awful.
I picked up one of these routers today. Took a pic of the chipset before putting it into service. Not familiar with this logo. If you want full res pic PM me.
Edit: Ahh, its a marvell chipset. Processor is a 81F5180

I would also love a DD-WRT build for this beast of a router. The initial firmware has a few bugs and internet dropouts that are a nightmare.
This is my secondardy router with a Linksys 600N be my primary and I am a huge fan of DD-WRT even though I have only been using it for about a week. :)

Any news or update on this one? I recently purchased this model, and am thinking of returning it for one that supports dd-wrt. Yet, I do like this machine, if a update is coming shortly, I can be patient.
Add me to the list of hopeful wnr3500 owners, hoping to get support.
