TL-WR1043ND V2 Openvpn / default gateway

Hallo allerseits,

bei meinem Router ist es mit jeder Version nach 05-09-2015-r26866 (stand 24.6.) nicht mehr möglich per OpenVPN-Client eine Verbindung zum VPN zu bekommen da kein default gateway gefunden wird.
(Angeblich gibt es einen zusammenhang zu PPPOE bzgl des default gateway. Diesen Modus benutze ich jedoch nicht)

Mein Router ist als Zweitrouter per LAN angebunden und als Gateway konfiguriert.
Spätere Versionen laufen deutlich stabiler als die 26866 (täglich mehrfach spontane reboots oder Hänger) haben aber zumindest in dem von mir genutzen Modus(Gateway) leider kein Default Gateway welches fürs OpenVPN umgeleitet werden muss.

Hat sonst noch jemand dieses Problem und evtl. eine Lösung dafür gefunden?
