I live in China and want a U.S. number that I can use to send and receive calls for free on a standard house phone.

Requirements:

PAP2T-NA adapter
Landline Telephone
DD-WRT
VPN service
Google Voice service
CallCentric service

Steps:

Step 0 - Install DD-WRT on Router
Step 1 - Install Asterisk on Router
Step 2 - Install Python on Router
Step 3 - Install PYGoogleVoice on Router
Step 4 - Setup OpenVPN service on Router
Step 5 - Setup Asterisk on PAP2T-NA
Step 6 - Connect Telephone to PAP2T-NA
Step 7 - ????
Step 8 -
Profit!!!!

At-least, that is what I gather from reading. Now my question: will the asterisk on the router go through the VPN connection that is also on the router by default or do I need to manually configure it to do so?

If I need to configure it to do so, could someone explain how? Thank you for any help! The reason the VPN is vital is that China blocks GV.
