Hello,

Some background:
I am running the (latest?) KONG build (v24-sp2 (06/06/14) kongac) on my Netgear r7000 and have it setup as a Repeater.

I am using this build currently because I am trying to re-mediate an issue where the router was randomly reboot (on the betas from DDWRT) every 1-10 mins to every 1-12 hours. So far 17 HRS up since I flashed this build and I'm hoping it stays this way Very Happy

SO, ON TO MY QUESTION:

Now that I have my router up and stable (so far) I have setup an external SYSLOG logger (Kiwi Syslog Server trial) to catch any
info IF this happens again and to tie that information to times or restarts etc.

SO FAR NO RESTARTS Very Happy
However I do have quite a few of "KERNAL WARNING"s in my syslog program
There are 41 of the exact same message (shown below) all within 30 MINS
haven't had one since last night about 18 hours ago

Here is one of the KERNAL WARNING output:
"
03-21-2015 17:51:52 - Kernel.Warning - 192.168.54.1 - kernel: br0: received packet on wl0.2 with own address as source address
"

My question is, is this anything I have to worry about and if so is there something I can do to fix this error?

Thank you for your time,
FruitlessPotato

Thanks for that!
Any info on that error?

Also will it be fine to just upgrade the firmware from GUI without resetting to defaults? I JUST got it setup, if not I can do it again as it is like second nature now lol

A big version change like this requires a reset to take advantage of the new settings. Anything as of January 2015 or older requires a reset.

It was some minor thing that only impacted logs as I recall what others posted.

Thanks!
That is what I needed to know!

As a follow up unrelated question:

Any reason when I put in static IP for the router's WAN connection (repeater) that it refuses to connect to the other router or if it does it refuses internet connection?

I have attached screen grabs of some of the ip setting I have tried
If you could take a look and see if i'm doing anything wrong that I cant think of please let me know
Thank you!

192.168.0.1 being the WAN the repeater is connected to
