First of all a big thank you to dd-wrt community, devs, forum mods who are working day night to help peoples and @kramttocs sir after digging in the dd-wrt directory i found that i was using the 2013 firmware, then i downloaded the latest firmware and flashed it 5mins ago, and then i tried to connect with dd-wrt companion app and boom it got connected it also fixed router's led problem which i was facing in previous version. Thank very much for helping.
Great! Glad you're up and going. _________________ Netgear R7000 (Kong 26285M) : Main Router/PPPoe

I have noticed the following issues:
1. The "clients" tab does not load - circle keeps spinning.
2. The "wireless" tab just shows: "Wireless -" and no further info.
This project looks really great, will try it out ! _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

Hi there!

I will try looking at the source today to figure out which commands you are using - maybe they are not compatible with atheros chipsets?
Hi there!
Just noticed I didn't get notifications from this forum thread.
First of all, thank you all for your support and contributions. It is great to see that this project is useful.
I can confirm some issues with Atheros chipsets. Can you try with the latest update (version 2.1.1) and let me know if it works?
Best.
What does it mean if I see java.io.IOException - End of IO Stream Read? Does SSH not work on my router?
Yup - this probably means SSH does not work on your router.
Can you provide your router model and DD-WRT Build rev?
Other people have reported similar error messages, and we finally found out SSH connection issues with some DD-WRT specific Builds (e.g., build 21061 or those bundled with this version of the SSH server: dropbear_2013.56)
I guess you get the the same error when you try to manually SSH into your router from a computer, using the same credentials you provided to the app?

It's a Rosewill RNX-N300RT v1, showing up as TP-Link TL-WR841ND v7 with firmware version DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) std - build 21061 (only one I saw available for download). I tried turning off all security and still received the same message.
There seems to be a new version 3.0.0 available on f-droid, however when I try to download/install it, I get a popup saying "Not installed". Perhaps the upload got corrupted or something?
Edit: the other two version I see on f-droid (2.1.0 and 2.1.1) download without problems.

SSH reportedly does not work with this DD-WRT build. So (sorry to say that), but unfortunately, there is nothing more I can do on the app side. The app essentially assumes that the router has a working SSH server. I left room in the app to support other communication channels to fetch the data (e.g., via the HTTP(s) admin interface, but that will not be released in the near future.
