WPA-2 Enterprise with external Freeradius server settings are not working once the AP is given a reset. I have to push "Apply Settings" and "Save" button again to make it functional.
Infact all builds after 23/06/2014 have this issue. I am amazed why you guys are ignoring my posts at this blog. This is 5th time I am reporting this issue.

Here is what BS replied to you on TRAC:

Quote:
this is a hostapd issue. set the retry limit to 60 and it goes faster. on bootup it has no network connection, so hostapd will sleep for a while until it tries again. 600 seconds here as shown in your picture. i'm aware of this and currenty trying to fix it. but its a hostapd bug or lets say. bad behaviour

13dBm is really low! give us the 'iw list' command
when u switched to US/CAN reg domain.

That is a risk you take with 3rd party beta firmware unfortunately.

i dont ever see ddwrt making it past "beta"..too much fragmentation between routers, too many routers to support, dev team too small, dev team has a hard time listening to users (toovague, worksforme, invalid are what most tickets get even when u KNOW ur right), "simple" things like updating gui for modern widescreen support WITH THE DEFAULT THEME (caps'd cause 95% use it, not the 1 or 2 other messy gui themes that support widescreen). etc..

I absolutely agree with this statement. In addition, I think updating the Linux kernel(s) as soon as a new one comes out is not good practice, without first testing adn waiting for some feedback. What happens is this: some non-kernel related bugs are being fixed (slowly, but they ARE fixed), but a few days pass by and a new kernel comes out, so Brainslayer updates it more-or-less instantaneously and then new bugs pop up, incompatibilities, etc.
So there's basically no such thing here as a relatively long-standing stable development, with continuous bug-fixing.
The most basic code changes over night, so no strong control over stability is possible.
Look at OpenWRT, they do it closer to the "spirit" of good code development practice...
