First time posting here. Have tried reading the rules and hope I don't break any by posting this.

Got a TL-MR3020 that I want to use with my Huawei E3531 3G-dongle.
The dongle works on both my computers (Win7 and MacOS) wthout problems.
I've flashed my TL-MR3020 with the two bin-files available on this site;
First factory_to_ddwrt.bin
then tl-MR3020-webflash.bin

DD-WRT is running fine but I can't seem to get my 3G-dongle to connect.
I've disabled SIM-PIN on the SIM-card and entered the necessary settings for my ISP.
The dongle flashes to indicate that it tries to connect to my ISP, but no luck.

According to compatibility information om this site router is supported by DD-WRT.

Some details about the hardware and settings;
TL-MR3020 HW v1.0
TL-MR3020 FW: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) std
3G-dongle: Huawei E3531 Model E3531s-2 (Telia Sweden)
APN: online.telia.se
Dial number: *99#

Have tried searching this forum, but found only a few posts about this router and none about my problem.

Do you have any suggestions about other settings or firmware to try?

EDIT: This post might belong to the Atheros thread?

The TPlink 3g/4g routers stock firmware do have a fairly good support for 3/4g dongles.
In comparison, have you tried the latest tplink firmware for TL-MR3020?
I have the MR3420 v2 with stock firmware, works just nicely with a ZTE dongle.

The communication protocol used by E3531-s2 is not yet implemented in dd-wrt.
When it gets implemented then it will not be included for routers with limited flash space like MR-3020.

I know this is late but I wanted to use the same setup: TP-LINK 3020 with E3531s. On the TP-LINK site it says it is supported.

On DDWRT the 3020 is supported, and the E3531 has a Atheros 9xxx platform and is in the list on

So how I am supposed to know that this is not compatible? What does serial & ncm mean? Not very clear to me. I assume it must support qmi?

How about a TPLINK MA260 dongle in it? It says that it supports qmi and it also supported on the TPLink website. Although the 3020 still only has 4MB flash. How am I supposed to know this is compatible?
EDIT Nope another link states it is not compatible. For different reasons again.

Why have this compatibility page if nothing works?
