Okay - mine is working now too - and I have possible reason - before it was displaying channel 48 as lowest - which is wrong for the AC... I have switched couple of times regulatory domain and it magically fixed. The odd thing is that it is now the same domain I had before (Europe) but now the lowest channel is correct (36)

It was down just after an update but from telnet I was able to launch it. After another reboot it is working again.

How are you putting iperf on this router (or is it baked into DD-WRT somewhere that I'm not finding)?

I just use telnet to connect to the router and there iperf3 is already installed, so I run it as a server and play with the devices attached to the router

Duh. I sat there at the command line running 'iperf' and nada.

'iperf3' of course... works fine.

Verify my findings now maybe I have sth wrong with patching or interface is broken..

I'm getting ~185Mbps in "server" mode and ~120Mbps in "client" mode. But watching the router's CPU during that it totally makes sense... iperf is beating on the CPU during the xfers, so... it can't process data any faster.

Makes me think it's a non-optimally-compiled build of iperf perhaps?

So current status is that we do not have tool for reliable testing of LAN throughput as iperf works a bit strange :/

Got sth more iperf between two devices attached to the router via cable reaches full speed 1Gbit Ethernet.

Doing the same via Wi-Fi leads to the same results as when iperf-ing router directly.

Okay - I am still playing with this performance - normally I operate on EUROPE regulatory domain and this leads me to 100 Mbps iperf max on WiFi AC (AC-only, channel set to auto, width set to VHT, extension upper-lower, explicit beamforming)

But

When reg domain is changed to US I can reach by choosing same settings but channel (161) 150 Mbps - any idea how to configure router to get most of AC in Europe? (when red domain is set to US I am still far from maximum throughput... )

My hardware is D1800H <-> Intel 7260 card

EDIT: After increasing TX Power to 260mW on US reg I get 170 Mbps

I'm having WAN speed issues.

I get 60-80mbps max, while I have a 100mbps service.

If I connect the modem directly to the PC, speedtest.net show 100mbps no problem.

I disabled radios on router, and tested speed. Still 60-80mbps max.

I've had 24200 running for months, I just flashed r25309 to see if the WAN improves, but to no avail.

Any idea what could be wrong?

EDIT: Ha, i noticed i had the router o/c to 650MHz, once i put it back on 600MHz, i'm getting 100mbps on the WAN. Interesting...

Having a weird issue I can't figure out:

Got two D1800H's connected in repeater bridge. Connection link is @ 1300mbps.

When I'm wired to secondary router, I'm only getting about 5MB/s.

I'm on (in both routers):

i am trying to trunk the port 3&4 with manageable switch that does support either static LAG or LACP.

However I tried many different combination in the GUI of the DD-WRT and all it does is loopback.

Anyone have any experience on getting either LAG or LACP working?
