Maybe not the smartest question, but which build? Downloaded or self compiled?

If self compiled; got any pointers? Looked for instructions here at the forum, but didn't what I was looking for or I didn't look hard enough.

One issue with Brainslayer's build (as i've noticed it's common to all DD-WRT running on cisco/linksys in last years).
Wireless dropping off like mad on both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz

No this is a known bug in the latest BS builds for BCM470x, does not exists on my builds. BS is aware of it and can change that if it is sure if we don't find a way to fix this in the new wireless driver.

So for all affected models you can use one of my builds if it is a problem for you.

I have experienced this too, seems to be a bug in wireless interference mitigation mode, it is not working properly and causes random wifi lock ups until the interface is reset.. to fix this telnet into the router and do:

wl -i eth1 interference 0
wl -i eth2 interference 0

Let me know, I have been testing this and so far no lock ups. But I have experienced this bug since 3.10 kernel

I have a request to somebody who has not yet flashed dd-wrt on there EA6700.

I am trying to revert to stock firmware, but a file was deleted when flashing dd-wrt.

I want to request to flash a modified stock firmware, and send me a file from their device (pendrive is needed).

If you are willing to do this please PM me.

DO NOT 30-30-30 or erase nvram newer routers! It can brick them.

EA6700: Build 27745 (nvram below 32K, ipv6 - HE 6in4)
E4200: Build 26587
WRT54GL: Retired - waiting in the closet for an emergency.

For those with EA6700 (and other model in this series). I've got my old Asus WL500GP2 as my home rtr at present. And have the new EA6700 as an AP only. Really would like to install DD-Wrt but to transfer it to the 'main' router role.

But should I hold off and wait for more stable builds. Is there any thing I can do to help with the development?

regards,
Stephen

In my opinion, wait. There are still issues with 2.4ghz not working sometimes. Static leases, port forwarding is not been remembered ....

Hi,

I have the model EA6500 V2 with dd-wrt, i know it is the same model as the EA6700..

The router is fine but the wifi is not great .. it crashes or the internet does not work on .. I could always go back to the stock firmware but I like ddwrt.

Any help please? Especially help from Fractal!

I found EA6700 is stable with 23320, other builds are not stable, my router will crash after two or three days, but 23320 build is much better, my router can run over two weeks without problem on 23320. You can try that out first to see if it's working okay for EA6500 v2, EA6700 is almost identical to EA6500 v2 except double the memory.

Ok, I have often of problems with the wifi. Here are the problems i have see:

1 - My wifi connects but after a while the internet does not work at all .. nothing load. (Usually 15 minutes to 1 hours after)

2 - When i turn on my wifi on my devices, it finds no network available.

3 - My wifi fails to connect but i see it.

The one that is most common is the first, this is very disturbing ..
