I'm looking to buy one of these tiny buggers and am curious about a few facts:
- what DD-WRT firmware to use? Just grab the one off the router-database link and that's it?
- can the router be used to share USB PRINTERS (via raw mode/p910nd)?
- if yes, any special image or just the "default" one posted on the router-database?
- can the hardware switch on the router be used in DD-WRT somehow?
- can it run in wifi client bridge mode?
- if not, can the radio be turned off?
I realize that these are basic questions, but the few searches I've seen only indicate that this rotuer can run DD-WRT and there's no mention of USB support or wifi modes... _________________ Q: How do I do ...? A: Read the tutorials or Search forums
Any chance of a build that sacrifices something (even WIFI!) for p910nd runtimes? _________________ Q: How do I do ...? A: Read the tutorials or Search forums
For what it's worth, I switched to OpenWRT. Direct install over stock firmware, simple and efficient Web-UI. It waseasy to install exactly what I needed: USB RAW Printer sharing support for the TP-LINK TL-MR3020 (actually any TP Link with normal USB ports). And I never had to open a telnet/ssh to the box!
Kinda sad that I can't use DD-WRT and the cool status page and nice-looking GUI _________________ Q: How do I do ...? A: Read the tutorials or Search forums
