Thanks a lot for the quick reply. One more question,

there are three files to be download, which one I should use to update?

The builds for this router have been moved from Others/Eko into the Betas directory. It's clearly ready for beta now.

At the time of posting this the latest is in:
http://dd-wrt.com/site/support/other-downloads?path=others%2Feko%2FBrainSlayer-V24-preSP2%2F2014%2F01-10-2014-r23320-fix%2Ftplink_tl-wr842ndv2%2F

But you should check the directory above that one, to see if there is a newer build than 23598.

Hey guys, I'm debating on this router to use with a directional panel antenna to shoot a signal about 80 yards away clear line of sight to another house. This is one of few DD-WRT routers that still use detachable RP-SMA jacks so that's why I'm looking at this one.

I know it's still new but is the build pretty stable to just use as an AP? No USB or firewall stuff needed.

Thanks

Hi,

I am using the build 02/04/2014. So far it is very stable, if you do not need USB support, go with that

Firstly BrainSlayer you rock!!

I can see the latest revision of DD-WRT firmware for the WR842ND V2 is (24461).

Does this revision contain OpenVPN ?

Are there any issues with USB on this version, the thread does mention issues with earlier revisions?

listed here:

Hi.
I recently bought a TP-Link wr842ND v2.0 and installed DD-WRT ver.r24461 on it.

Everything works fine and I saw openvpn option (but not tried it), escept the USB thing.

Decpite all efforts i wasnt able to mount my USB Drive(fat32,4GB) in it.

USB Core and Storage and automount is enabled on web gui.

when totally tired of not being able to solve the problems, I tried to revert back to stock firmware.
Searched for a way and found this:
and again no luck. web revert image dont work (upgrade failed)
tftp solution didnt worke either, No connectin being made between my tp-link and my pc.

I desperately need some help on this guys. Please!
