Has anyone been able to get USB flash drives to show up on the n66u?

I read somewhere that it was fixed in K3.x builds, but flash test builds only if you know how to unbrick your router.

I'm currently running K3.x builds but still no luck at the moment with even getting them to show up. You can see via dmesg though that it does see it getting plugged in but then just loops doing a usb reset.

I tried nv60k build in first post and updated to newest 24/12/13 mega built on my e4200. Runs fine so far, nothing unexpected, got 256kb nvram now.

However I got better speed results with K2.6 built 23040 and now I want to downgrade again. Is it just possible with a webflash and proper 30/30/30 before and after the flash?

Edit: just flashed back, no problems encountered, speed is back to normal (which is almost times two compared to K3!)

Flashed K3.x mega 23204 on E3200. Works fine. No freezes and issues. Just one: While ftp connected - cannot see any directories and files. Just shows me / and empty screen. Nothing. I tried to mount the USB to /opt and to /jffs - the same... What I am doing wrong?

No, definitely not. It needs a kernel 2.4 build

Did you configure the ftp root and the user access rights in the gui page for it?

What is the status of vlan tagging in K3.x? I am having a hard time making this work on RT-N66U.

Vlans are tagged out ok but no tagged vlan can get in. I am using (have to) vlan ids higher than 15; interfaces created with vconfig and attached to vlan2.

I do a tcpdump on vlan2 and can't see any tagged packets getting in. Sniffing packets in my switch confirms that tagged packets are indeed sent to the router.

Do we have libusb (usb2serail) support module activated in K3.X?

The only K3 build I have been able to upgrade on my 610V2 to is r22118.

Every build after that fails to upgrade or reports upgrade successful without actually performing the upgrade.

Router Model Linksys E3200
Firmware Version DD-WRT v24-sp2 (01/10/14) - build 23320
Kernel Version Linux 3.10.26 #645 Fri Jan 10 10:50:14 CET 2014 mips

I noticed only a little bug, tv NVRAM size shows 256K while the E3200 has only 60K.

It's not a bug, it's a feature.

How?

Does it increase the router's NVRAM size?

How that is possible ?
