If your talkin about configuration backup, just make sure you are not using those when upgrading your firmware... you should always manually reconfigure if changing Firmwares!!!

Just to be safe!

Cfe is just the bootloader. If you want to backup your scripts, then you want to backup your configuration.

As Zew said, always manually reenter settings after firmware upgrade/downgrade.

oh.. I had the cfe confused then. I havnt been into the router for a long while but recently I acquired a new one so I want to experiment more with DD-WRT.

so when you back up the configuration and then restore it on the same router and DD-WRT version your start up scripts will work on first re-boot. correct?

thanks
