Hi msantos2007,

Just got TL-WDR3600, and flashed with (SVN revision 22118)

This is an excellent steps to add amazing capabilities.
This is going to be TODO list.
However, do you have any advice to have optimum wireless setting?
My TL, as bridge repeater router, has problem with video streaming from NAS.

...for this excellent guide.

I stopped at the half, because I crossed sda1 and sda2, but I could manage it.

I realized, if minidlna couldn´t share .flv files. Is there a way to do that?

Hello

I read very carefully what you write before, but I want to know:
1. Install minidlna ver 1.1.1.0(not 1.0.25 as you describe)
2. If is possible to stream files from a NAS (D-LINK 320L) conected on the lan port of the TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND (not from HDD attached on USB port)

(I'm newbie but I had install minidlna 1.1.1.0 on DNS-320L before (using fun_plug) and working fine. The only thing what is not working: the hdd not go in sleep mode, always running)
Thanks in advance

I am unable to install Opt ware for some reason, can anybody help me solve the problem?

This is what the Putty terminal looks like

I installed MiniDLNA + Transmission. I works fine but after restarting my router TL-WDR3600 MiniDLNA and Transmission doesn't start automatically. I did everything step by step exactly like you.
I have no idea what is wrong. Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks

I followed the instruction and able to run MiniDLNA + Transmission.

Just check the *.ipk before running wget on URL. The version is moving target.

Any advice of how to update to newer version.
Does running:
opkg update will do?

Thanks

Hi guys;

Is there any chance to install the "Download Master" (like in the ASUS's latest high-end routers) for the TP-Link TL-WDR4300 ?

As all you know, this is a marvelous feature; Download Master software enables you to download files to attached USB storage devices via services such as FTP and BitTorrent, ed2k while your PC is powered down...

I really liked this unique feature, especially with ed2k network & want this on my beloved WDR4300 too...

for more inf about the marvelous "Download Master" feature watch the youtube video below !

Hi all,
I've installed privoxy for content filtering:
Reference: http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/proxy.privoxy

On TP-LINK WR3600v1
root@DD-WRT /tmp/mnt/sda2 $ opkg install privoxy

Installing privoxy (3.0.21-1) to root...
Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ar71xx/packages/privoxy_3.0.21-1_ar71xx.ipk.
Installing libpcre (8.11-2) to root...
Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ar71xx/packages/libpcre_8.11-2_ar71xx.ipk.
Configuring libpcre.
Configuring privoxy.

root@DD-WRT /etc $ which privoxy
/opt/usr/sbin/privoxy

Successfully install.
find the privoxy files:
root@DD-WRT / $ find . -name 'privoxy*'
./opt/etc/init.d/privoxy
./opt/etc/privoxy
./opt/usr/lib/opkg/info/privoxy.conffiles
./opt/usr/lib/opkg/info/privoxy.control
./opt/usr/lib/opkg/info/privoxy.list
./opt/usr/sbin/privoxy
./tmp/mnt/sda2/opt/etc/init.d/privoxy
./tmp/mnt/sda2/opt/etc/privoxy
./tmp/mnt/sda2/opt/usr/lib/opkg/info/privoxy.conffiles
./tmp/mnt/sda2/opt/usr/lib/opkg/info/privoxy.control
./tmp/mnt/sda2/opt/usr/lib/opkg/info/privoxy.list
./tmp/mnt/sda2/opt/usr/sbin/privoxy

Seems like duplicate files.

Kind of lost, not sure what to do next?
Any help?

mount -o bind /tmp/mnt/sda2/opt /opt
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH='/opt/lib:/opt/usr/lib:/lib:/usr/lib'
opkg update

i enter the comands on wrt interface
#! /bin/sh
sleep 10
if [ -f /mnt/sda1/optware.enable ]; then
if [ -f /mnt/sda2/optware.enable ]; then
mount -o bind /tmp/mnt/sda2/etc /etc
sleep 1
mount -o bind /tmp/mnt/sda2/root /tmp/root

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH='/opt/lib:/opt/usr/lib:/lib:/usr/lib'
export PATH='/opt/bin:/opt/usr/bin:/opt/sbin:/opt/usr/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin'
else
exit
fi

reboot router
run comand
Quote:
opkg update

and got mesage opkg not found.

i mention that instead of:
http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ar71xx/packages/opkg_618-6_ar71xx.ipk
that is not working even with 3 instead of 6
i found this:
http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09/ar71xx/nand/packages/opkg_618-3_ar71xx.ipk

PostPosted: Mon Jan 27, 2014 19:05    Post subject: wget not finding file Reply with quote
Hello folks,
To avoid file not found error, please check first the file that you want to wget on repository.

Use your browser to browse the file that you want to get.

E.g., point your browser to the optware trunk, and search for the file name.

http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ar71xx/packages/

You need libc_0.9.33.2-1_ar71xx.ipk and opkg_618-6_ar71xx.ipk.

You'll notice opkg_618-6_ar71xx.ipk is no longer on the list, and it's new name (as of 27-Jan-2014)
You'll need to adjust your code/script.
