Why won't serial recovery work too?

Serial write once "Decomressing...Done" and nothing else.

There are any suggestions, other than serial console?
Zjtag, Tjtag don't support this chip Broadcom BCM5357 rev2 (BCM47186B0) .
Which software I need for JTAG EA2700?
Question

I was unable to recover mine, I have a bricked unit, along with a new one testing... waiting on another build to test with latest patches... the CFE wont allow a bin over 18mb to be flashed to the router. So was unable to test latest build as of yet.

Has there been any further progress with the EA2700? In the last status update from Fractal, he mentioned he has been waiting on a new build with the latest patches under 18MB to test. Thank you again for all of your hard work!

Hello, All.
I've found the image ea2700.trx
in ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2013/07-24-2013-r22118/linksys-ea2700/

Does somebody know what is this image for?

DO NOT USE IT!
It will brick your router.

Wish you lot of luck on this as I am pretty dependant on dd-wrt for my ea2700. Just got a chromecast and in order to cast American Netflix (I live in Canada) this is essential.

I am using a ASUS RT N56U which I am very happy with (Hulu and Netflix etc). I would like to buy up a few of these ea2700's and fix up for my two kids and parents (in Canada). And one for the office too. But from the sounds of it, I should not use the ea2700 with the default firmware.

Have any info on what the problem is? I also have some contacts in the security community that do a lot of reverse engineering etc. that are interested in getting more involved in embedded hardware if you have something specific to analyze I can pass it on to them.
