just finished upgrading,
didn't do any 30/30/30 stuff.
just plain webrevert file(was on ddwrt 21223)>upgrade to latest tplink official version-130428>upgrading to dd wrt 21286 (latest-15/04)>configuring as i need (vpn works btw, its awesome)
and transfer rate according to your configurations (TX=1 RX= 1+2+3) = 10mb almost steady. seems alright, lets see how long will it last.
so far i can't say anything bad, its all great and of course if any dev comes accord this post. THANK YOU!
Awesome! I have recently bought a ver 1.10 (SN: 12XXXXXX)
I'm going to test out the same steps

Being a little picky now, are we?
Relax, this is what i tested back then. i haven't used the latest so i assume it'll work just the same as that.
I did hear something about some recent (not sure about July's) Firmwares that had that WAN issue again... better have another firmware ready to revert just in case

First off, Hello. I am new here, LOL.
Right, well I just purchased on of these TP-Link routers (upgrading from a Linksys WRT54G) and I would just like someone to confirm that I have this flashing process correct.
I have the just of everything (quoted above) but I would just like to make sure that there is no "middle man" firmware to flash with this model router like there was with the Linksys WRT54G, correct?
Just like the instructions
You have two files in every released firmware
One is for factory-stock to ddwrt and another for web upgrade
Just use the factory to ddwrt and you'll do just fine
Check your serial before to make sure it's within range of someone who's already did the conversion to ddwrt
So first you'll have to flash the german firmware?
Flash build 22118 on the device without anything before that. No special manipulation is needed. 1.9 is supported as it is one and same hardware. Only the first digit means something that concerns hardware so they all are v1. The thing with flashing the german firmware addresses a problem that is now fixed from several builds of dd-wrt to now. So it is neither obligatory nor recommended to do it.

Thanks mate really appreciate your help.
So just to confirm: im safe to flash the r22118 version of DD-WRT even though my serialnumber starts with 12xxxxx and im using HW ver 1.9?

Thanks for the help guys. After a few snags, I got the router flashed with version 22118, but after thumbing through the admin page, I have noticed a minor ache.
I see that the TX Power is now displayed in DB. Is there a setting to change or command that I can run to revert to the old Milliwatt format?

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I flashed my 1043ND rev1.8 about a year ago now.
Things were going well for a long time, so long that I didn't have to manage the router for several months at a time. However, I discovered a few days ago that when I try to access the config page using the gateway IP, it fails to return the admin page.
I've tried to ping the gateway IP and I can confirm that it works.
That's all I know so far.
Help Please! and Thank You.
EDIT:
forgot to mention, SYS led doesn't light up again (after power on)
