This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build. (eg: 19342_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Just a quick note about this build.

The firmware files for the Asus RT-AC66U and the Linksys EA2700 have been put into each others directories - so if you are looking for teh RT-AC66U firmware, it's actually in the "ea2700" directory.

And the Linksys EA2700 firmware file in actually in the "asus-rt-ac66u" directory.

Hopefully, I can save a few folks from flashing the wrong file!

The broadcom_K3X-EXPERIMENTAL folder contains quite a few files which shouldn't be there - mega builds 7.5MB in size for routers which only has 4MB flash.

Be aware of your routers flash size before trying any files in this folder!

Loaded it on an ea2700, only the 2.4ghz radio was showing. After restore to factory default the router is bricked. Request time out to pings, lan lights on, the power light does not come on.
30/30/30 does nothing.

Fractal, I know you said you have serial connected to your ea2700. Is it like the other linksys, with the square being ground, the one next to it unused, the next two for tx/Rx?
My USB to TTL serial cable is scheduled to arrive this week.

Thanks for the new firmware. Unfortunately the WZR-D1800H_MULTI.trx build 21676 results in a soft brick of the Buffalo WZR-D1800H router. The kernel panics because it can't mount the root file system and forces an endless boot loop. Using the CFE Flash command and the Linux TFTP app, I was able to revert to the WZR-D1800H_MULTI.trx build 21286.

Here's the PuTTY Log of the serial console of an unsuccessful boot using build 21676 :

It would be helpful if the SVN number were included in the firmware file name.

From wich firmware you upgraded to dd-wrt? I using the old style Linksys firmware but the ea2700 wont even load, i upload the trx file is says flashed succesfull afterthat it goes 4times to bootloader mode en afterthat the old Linksys firmware is back.

I think the boatloader is switching to second linux partion(some sort of failsafe)

Upgraded from 21061 to 21676 (K2.6 big) on Linksys E3000.

Works fine as wireless client bridged with 2.4GHz or 5GHz...

E3000 client/repeater mode still broken as usual, broken in k2.6 & k3.9.

Interesting to the best of my knowledge, i was last told they blamed the broadcom driver for it, yet tomato has/had the same driver version, working just fine..

Also with k3.9 it says my e3000 has 64kb nvram now instead of the usual 60kb, that accurate? For some reason i always thought broadcom units or at least "older" ones aka non ac, only had 60kb & it was atheros that always had 64?
