What would you recommend buying?

A secondhand e2000 or a new ea2700?

It doesn't have to do anything special.
- dhcp
- portforwarding
- wifi 2.4ghz 20mhz wpa2 aes.
- maybe some QOS...

I already have a wrt320 (almost the same as e2000) and it is rock stable running dd-wrt...

I would go with the 2nd hand e2000 if money is an issue.

I am using the e2000 as a wireless client bridge and it works great!

That's not even competition IMO, it's Dual-Band vs "Multiple Bands" - The E2000 can only do 1 band at a time while the EA2700 does em simultaneously. Both got Gigabit ports. E2000 is old now...

Was this a serious question? Question Shocked

I thought EA2700 is not supported by DD-WRT.

Only a matter of time. I had the latest k3.X on mine briefly. Noticed the 5ghz radio wasn't showing up in the GUI. I did a factory reset, now I'm waving at if on the shelf. Lol
