HI BrainSlayer
Sorry for confusion, but is there a version of the release in this thread for the ac66? Ie so. E thingtthat fixes the issues with the mf821 in storage mode as per LOMs comments a few posts back?
I have the latest version of ddwrt for ac66 that is available if you search for the router in db. That version seems to have a problem with the modem. I had been speaking to LOM about the problem then he pointed me here saying you had just released an update for ac66 which fixed the problem. So I came here and downloaded ac66 file. Which now you have noted is n66. All good, but is there version of this n66 release for ac66 which fixes the modemas per LOMs comments, if so could I ask very kindly if you could please post a link to it?
Cheers
Paul
no there is no ac66 firmware in this thread here. but it will come soon (in another thread or on our ftp. i cannot work on so many devices at the same time)

here the latest output
So far the 21590 build runs well on both the RT-N66U and the RT-N16 routers. I have overclocking enabled on both routers, but the /proc/cpuinfo files still show the factory clock rates and the same Bogomips rating for those clock rates. The webgui status pages show the overclock rates that I selected and nvram shows my overclocking settings. Looking at the dmesg logs, I don't see where the cpus have up shifted to the new clock rates.

overclocking has no effect yet since its written to the wrong nvram. i have to write special cfe nvram handling for this. so be patient _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? I have flashed build 21590 to my N66U router. After flashing, I can not connect to the router through the LAN ports, but I can access it through WLAN. Please help how to fix this. Could I flash to an older version through the Wlan? Thanks a lot.

Just out of interest, is it anything I can manually fix in current ac66 fw for the MF821 in the mean time? Sorry to be off topic, if there is anything I can do in the mean time I can post this somewhere else to discuss?

then maybe asus changed the bootloader in a way to ignore the clkfreq settings. who knows
edit:
you know what me confused?
CPUClock: 600
this info is just read from the nvram while booting. did you reboot after changing the clkfreq? _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Sounds like a Mac to me.." - Louis Rossmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_5YDRWqGE&t=60s

All works good, but speed of usb hdd do not above 5-6 MB/s... In stock or Merlim FW - 15-17 MB/s.
depends which filesystem you're using. 5-6 mb sounds like ntfs and this is always slow due the userspace filesystem driver. _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Sounds like a Mac to me.." - Louis Rossmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_5YDRWqGE&t=60s

i already overclocked the asus and it was working. there must be a fault in your way you tested it. the cpuclock info is just the result of the nvram parameter. its not read from any cpu register. its just the clkfreq parameter which is readed at very first kernel boot. so it looks like the clkfreq was changed but not rebooted yet _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Yes. Changing the clock speed on the Admin Mgmt menu and clicking on the apply button forces a reboot. Top speed is still 600Mhz. Have you tried 632MHz or 650MHz?
