I just bought a Linksys EA2700. Definiatley limited without DD-WRT installed. I did notice that from the roter database on the front page under http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database it's not even listed as WIP however on the wiki page it is http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices

Not a biggie, but wanted to point that out.

If you can support that router somehow I will gladley donate $100 to the dd-wrt project. I know it looks to be more of a technical limitation, but I wanted to show my support for you guys. I use to run a Linksys 54G and miss my DD-WRT.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to say that I am really looking forward to dd-wrt for this router coz I am buying it next week despite massive negative comments, which mostly seem to address native Linksys firmware. The hardware seems good here (64MB Flash) so I am only buying it with expectation to get awesome features with dd-wrt on it Smile

Greetings.
Bout half a month ago received this router as a present.
Configured it and found out, that i can't use it without DD-WRT Firware at all.

Can you please give any status update?
Cause i'm already thinking of setting my old router as a gateway and this one only as 1gb lan switch =D

Yes there is good news at the end of the tunnel, EKO is starting to port NAND flash drivers into the kernel with the below check in for the new net gear... Once those are committed to the repo, then the really fun devel/testing will begin as I have all of the E series routers... EA2700 and EA6500... I have helped port other devices so these should not be hard to do.

That is good news! If you want - i can become alpha/beta tester of firmware. Can you give approximate dates when firmware be ready?

This is awesome. I've been dying to get my hands on DD-WRT and having this router I was a little bit discouraged. Do we have any kind eta as to when we get this on our devices. I too am more than willing to get in on any kind of a beta program.

Fantastic news! I was just about to go purchase a new router that is DD-WRT compatable, but now I'll definitely hold off.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help/test/donate.

Well, apparently the crew is working on it, so for now it's impossible to install dd-wrt on ea-2700 from my understanding.

I'd be happy to be proved I'm wrong however :)

Would anybody from dd-wrt be so kind as to let us know what the status is?

If you guys need some help with testing etc. I'm in, I can and am willing to order this router and receive it in 2 days...
