What is the Most Stable WiFi dd-wrt Router

I am looking for alternative to the Buffalo and Linksys/Cisco router that use ddwrt and provide stable WiFi connection. Basically set the router and forget about it.

I have used Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH but the WiFi connection keeps getting disconnected and the router has to be hard reset/rebooted.

How about TP-Link routers, are they any good?

I m looking for features like VPN, VLAN, repeater bridge.
