Hi, I just bought the rt-n66u and successfully flashed it with dd-wrt. Now I'd like to open the router to put an SD card in the SD slot but I couldn't manage to open it. I cleared the screws under the rubbers but it is to tight to open it. It feels like there is another screw somewhere holding it together and I don't want to force anything. Any suggestions on how to open it?

there is only the 4 screws.
the rest, is clips molded into the plastic.
I have a set of pry tools. You want to "pry" the bottom case outward. The molded clips.. the male part is molded into the bottom, the female part is molded into the top cover. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]

tip for next time:
either snip off the "U" clips on the top cover, or I round off the square edges on the male part of the clip with a nail file. Makes it easier to get apart next time. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]

I have attached a few pics.. you can see the male part of the clip on the bottom or base of the case.
The female part of the clip, is on the cover.
there are three clips across the back, one on each side, and three across the front.
just be patient and pry slowly. You can also slide a putty knife to push the female part inward. The plastic pushes easily but don't over do it or you will break the clip.

I'm not running this router in service and I am using the stock asus firmware to play. currently, xx~.155 beta is on it which has 64k nvram enabled but it is a kernel hack. Asus is supposed to be working on a cfe mod for us dd-wrt users.
I can't put it into service without dd-wrt because I can't live without optware (pixelserv & a couple of other packages) running.
I asked in another thread what size / class of sd card (micro sd) the router would accept (no answers ). I had a 4gb card installed.. Today I was in wal-mart to buy oil for one of my cars that is due for an oil change. They had 32gb sd cards on sale.
I formatted the card (ext2), installed it and the router sees the card.. all of it.. So, we now know it will accept and read a 32 gb card.
You gotta be careful in regards to sd cards. Not all equipment will read all the cards depending on the class and size of the card. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]

@barryware: now that a few months have gone by: did the 32GB SD card (what class?) pan out and were you able to install OTRW? I've recently flashed Tomatoe on my router, with the hope that I can install OTRW. I run Asterisk on my routers along with the standard OTRW packages.

a 32gb class 4 micro sd card works fine.
I have played and been able to mount it under dd-wrt.
I do not have the router in service and have not attempted to install optware but it should be no problem as I had it mounted to /opt _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
