I am a previous sveasoft alchemy user on my WRT54G v2 and am now using the DD-WRT v23-SP1 firmware in place of it. So many wonderful new features and stability for me! QoS that actually works!

However I seem to be in a bit of a dilema regarding my Belkin F5D7130 I use for bridging wireless to a different location in the house. I can get WDS to work only if I do not use encryption... the stock Belkin firmware seems very poor for trying to do proper bridging...

The hardware is listed as being supported but what confuses me is this...
The website catalog shows this picture for model F5D7130 http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=201522&pcount=&Product_Id=136486
but the actual unit looks like this model http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=201522&pcount=&Product_Id=154416
So, I am left unsure if it is marked wrong or not... should I trust what it is labelled as? What benefit can I get from running DD-WRT on this Belkin device, the same features available on my Linksys?
I found this post from someone who has a F5D7130 but I am skeptical because of the physical differences...

Sorry for the long winded question but I want to be sure what I can do before I possibly destroy my hardware. I have had the Belkin AP for about a year now and did not realize it was similar hardware to the Linksys and can run 3rd party firmware...

I got it working! I was able to flash the unit using method #2 on the Wiki, now I have WDS working between the Belkin and the Linksys with WPA encryption! THANK YOU! This was impossible to do before with the factory firmware!
