Ok, I will try that.

I've tried tftp'ing the sp2 build, but it doesn't load, the power light just stays red. I can only tftp the motorola 6.1.4 build after i remove the header using a hex editor.

Do i have to do something similar to dd-wrt builds?

OK, I tftp'ed the latest build(had to remove the header from the bin file)

The router booted up, but still its same as before. Any combination of passwords are not working. The reset switch is same as before, it doesn't properly reset( all the lights just light up and go off). I'm running out of ideas Sad

Tried to follow steps provided by Eko only. I didn't read on to see Eko's reply to torontofish about nvram set vlanports="0 1 2 3 4 5*" tried this then tried eko's nvram set vlan0ports="0 1 2 3 5*" now nvram get vlan0ports=0 and nvram get vlan1ports=4

What should these look like. I have WR850G v2. I can still connect via wireless but not wire.

Thanks

Motorola v2 or v3 needs:
Code:
nvram set vlan0ports="0 1 2 3 5*"
nvram set vlan1ports="4 5"
nvram commit
reboot

You can start with this http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/V24_TNG/svn15943-snow/dd-wrt.v24-15943_VINT_std-nokaid.bin
