And others..

Instructions:

make a PayPal donation of $5.00 or more, link is in my sig.

E-mail tornado@tjtag.com with your confirmation # and specify what arch you want, Linux32, Linux64, Win32.

I will begin working on a Tjtag 3.0.2 win7 x64bit in the near future, if there are enough requests for it.

For usage, and supported routers:

http://infodepot.wikia.com/wiki/TJTAG

For a > $10.00 donation, I will customize tjtag, for example:

tjtag3

================================================
EJTAG Debrick Utility v3.0.2 Tornado-MOD
Built especially for Dark_Shadow
================================================

I'm also accepting donations for custom built bootloaders, like the CFE, and will also build or modify CFE's with your desired mac address.

I'm currently looking for someone to test a Custom CFE for the RT-N16, this custom CFE will utilize 60/64k of nvram, but I do not have one to test on. Let me know if interested ?

Just donated and used Tjtag for the first time today. Home built the simple interface. Worked Great!
I un-bricked a Belkin F7D7301.

Only problem was I have 6 computers in my house, all 64 bit. So I had to put some ram in an old 32 bit machine and fire it up. I see in post above Tornado is working on win7 x64bit, awesome.

By the way, the command that worked on this router was tjtag3 -erase:nvram /cable:DLC5 /fc:43 /byte_mode

Tried a serial adapter first but boot was in some kind of loop, so no-go. Then tried Tjtag, Bingo!

Great work, Tornado!
Your tool saved my day several times.

I have a suggestion, tough: given the wide range of chipsets covered by this JTAG tool, why don´t move the notice to announcements, so more people be aware of it?

Again, thanks.

Tornado, once I donate, how do I get future updates? Thinking Win7-x64 or any bug fixes. Thanks!

C'mon pal! We're talking about 5 bucks!

(My understanding is he will continue working on it as long as he see the benefit of it).

I don't understand your agitation over a simple question. I typically see some kind of description regarding what is, or is not, included with registering a piece of software. I couldn't find any information with respect to tjtag, so I thought I'd ask.

$5? Not a big deal. If it helps any, I not only don't have a bricked router, but I also haven't even used the software yet. I guess my purchase would fall under the category of "voluntary donation". After your response, however, I regret having paid anything.

Thanks just the same. Didn't know I would be ridiculed for asking such a question. Guess I'm not 1337 enough with my queries...

No offense meant, just to make you see Tornado gave it his work for free for years and now he's asking something in return, and he's asking for a donation (i.e. no strings attached) as opposed to sale software.

Possible solution: Google for this and follow the first link:
how to fix a bricked linksys router lancelhoff

No guarantees, but worth a shot.

Also, you could try Cisco's official instructions...

Hmm.. Will this TJTAG work using a USB-TTL cable on my WNR3500v2? Connected to the serial? Is this the software I need to fix the firmware?

My problem is that I can't CTRL-C to interrupt the bootloader and get the CFE prompt. No pins either visible to shortcut, nothing.

CFE for WNR3500Lv2 version: v1.0.9
Build Date: Fri May 6 11:54:17 CST 2011..

Loader:raw Filesys:raw Dev:flash0.os File: Options:(null)
Loading: .. 5192 bytes read
Entry at 0x80001000
Closing network.
Starting program at 0x80001000

and stuck.

EdIT: After checking up a bit I see that a TTL cable won't work. Smile

Been checking up on ebay for a JTAG cable and there are a few... Will those for the WRT54GS work?
