For those interested, I just tested e3000 & 802.1q by setting one port as trunk (modifying the nvram variables to set up one port as a trunk in vlan1, see: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/VLAN_Bridging_WAN_and_a_LAN_port#Second_WAN_port -> part 802.1q VLAN trunk)

used Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/12/10) mega, build 14929.

I used wireshark to verify, but I needed to do a registry modication on my laptop as by default my broadcom ethernet adapter seemed to strip the .1Q addition from the frame Rolling Eyes (see: http://wiki.wireshark.org/CaptureSetup/VLAN)

I'll try to update the wiki as well with a reference to this post.

Benny.

might be me, but seems my account here doesn't grant me access for editing something in the wiki and creating a login for the wiki seems more difficult than it should Sad

would someone with a wiki account do me a favor an edit this page: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/VLAN_Support
and add a link @ linksys e3000 to this post.

might be useful for others...

tnx & br
