I purchased RT-N66U on Newegg.com on 01/06/12. It's on its way to me and will be delivered on 01/11/12.
I have never used DD-WRT, but I have kept myself informed about the developments in the third-party firmware field. I have always used Cisco enterprise-level access points, but now decided to go with the RT-N66U to upgrade my Cisco 1131 (802.11 a/b/g). Because I have a complex network at home, I need to upgrade my managed 100 Mbps switches to managed Gigabit switches that support 802.1Q and 802.3ad. One of them must be a POE switch, but the other one can be a non-POE switch. Instead of purchasing two Cisco Gigabit switches, I would like to utilize the switch built into the RT-N66U as the non-POE switch that supports 802.1Q and 802.3ad. Then, I will only have to buy one Cisco Gigabit managed switch (POE).

All I can say is that I'm very happy with my RT-N66U. Arrived a couple of days ago. Fast and stable and the range is awesome compared to my old wrt610n and TP-Link 1043ND. I'm using my wrt610n as a client bridge with no problems.
Looking forward to try DD-Wrt when its stable
Edit: I found one bug tho. The setup-wizard did not work with OS X Lion and Safari or Firefox or Opera. I had to use a W7 Chrome and a PC. I recon there is something wrong with the html/css koding. In Opera everything was just a mess...
